ABOUT THE TSTA
The Tennessee State Troopers Association (TSTA) is a charitable organization whose members are either commissioned officers or retirees of the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security: Membership is voluntary. The TSTA is not a part of the Department of Safety, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, or of Tennessee state government. The Association is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization operated under the rules set forth in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to the TSTA are tax deductible as charitable contributions.

The TSTA is registered with the IRS as a dual business. One entity exists as a Special Interest Group and in that realm we provide advocacy for Troopers before the Tennessee Legislature. This is where it all began for us. The other entity exits as a non-profit organization where we provide financial assistance to Troopers and their families in times of crisis and extraordinary need. Our non-profit also conducts charitable work for citizens throughout Tennessee.
HOW WE HELP
Besides trying to help troopers who suffer some sort of hardship we are just as passionate about helping people in our communities. We’ve made several thousand dollars in donations to a variety of charitable causes within Tennessee. In 2016, we made our largest single donation ever with a $10,000 donation to the Dolly Parton Charitable fund in support of the Gatlinburg fire victims. The TSTA is proud of our troopers and the great state of Tennessee and look forward to what we can do for our members and the community in the future. And you are invited to join us as we move to the future. In the meantime, click on this link to take a look at our history.
